Working with LinkedIn enrichment, arrays, and writing that to other tables can get tricky. In this (pretty "niche") use case, here's what you can do to work around that issue.

0:00 quick clay tutorial as always right so this one is for ian mackey because he had let's say a question and maybe even a suggestion for the clay team around right to table now i do have to admit that there's no real you know straightforward way that i'm aware of that you can do this so we have to come 0:25 up with a little bit of a workaround so for some context he asked you know if i do um so he has a clay table like this one right here then he does like an enrichment on a person and then maybe he just grabs like the first name last name of that person and adds those columns but then he runs into the 0:44 column limit and then he just wants to write you know let's say this entire array right here right there to another table so he can run he can run queries on that so basically to work so he would have like um uh a people table like a master people table and then there's like an enrichment in here and 1:08 then here for example experience this entire array uh to write that to um to another table so basically just spacing out your build over multiple tables to work around the column limit but passing this data right here as is to another table that it gets a little bit tricky in play so basically you know 1:29 advanced right to other table type um things we're looking at here so the thing is that if you use right to table then uh if you add values and you say okay I want to write something then if you you know go under uhm if you you like select the experience thing then still it doesn't allow you to map it 1:51 uhm but if you say add other data from this table, then you could actually, then one by one map the entire you know education so maybe just grab or experience sorry so in that case you just say here from you know their experience I'm going to grab the first three company URLs for example and then and 2:21 uhm those I want to enrich further because I want to check if the last three companies they worked at if they fit my ICP or grab the only one that is their current job and I write that one to the other table for example so by add other data from this table you still have the option to sort of pick and 2:40 choose but you don't need get you know everything uhm and you still on the other table might run into the issue of having you know your column limit uhm that you're exceeding so one thing you could do is you could use this quick formula so Jason I'll stringify and enrich perso or use AI to say uhm I'll 3:02 put the entire experience uh array in JSON format and then here you have you know the JSON and this you can actually write to the other table so just write this field is a single column right you write that to the other table and then in the other table you can just use formulas to get whatever you want 3:21 so then you could say okay from this JSON array give me the first company where is current equals true and then enrich that one and see if it fits my ICP that's how I would do it just grab the entire error experience array add it as a single column so you have all the experience in there and then this 3:45 one you can just pull into your other table uhm hope that makes sense I wanted to keep this video short uhm but yeah so that's your workaround I think to Ian it may make a lot of sense for other people very similar use case hopefully as well if you found it helpful then great if uhm if you still have 4:03 questions then let me know I'll be happy to answer that bye bye
